Summer in Japan
I was an exchange student to Kumamoto, Japan through Youth For Understanding during the summer of 2007. I received the Japan-America Friendship Scholarship that allowed me to stay with a host family, attend high school, and travel around Japan.
Hungary (and Italy)
I had an international consulting internship with the Simonyi Center for Entrepreneurship, Applied Education, and Regional Development for the summer of 2010 in Pecs, Hungary, and originally set up this blog for the purpose of letting my family and friends know what I was doing while on my adventure. I had the intention of updating this as much as possible, but would never sacrifice experiencing the adventure. I got behind because I was having such an amazing time and never had the time to settle down.
Interning Chicago
Over the summer of 2011, I interned with an international consulting firm in Chicago, Illinois. It was the internship I had been working towards since my freshman year of college and turned out to be another amazing summer.
Hungary Round 2 (and Croatia and Slovakia)
I returned for a second summer to Pecs, Hungary during the summer of 2012, immediately following my graduation from Ohio University. It was definitely a better second time around, during which I also went to Croatia and Slovakia.
Moving to Chicago
I am now living in Chicago and exploring all it has to offer. I received an offer from the same consulting firm I interned with and will be traveling quite frequently for my profession. Most of the traveling will be week long trips, but I may occasionally have some longer international adventures.
